Have been using the faith checkbook app on my nook color. Tried to “share” and now when I tap the app, i only see my email and can’t get back to the readings.
Hi, Debbie!
Let’s get this fixed for you. First, a couple of questions:
1) Had you already set up email on your NOOK Color? If not, there’s a problem where the NOOK tries to get you to set up email and you can’t get out until you do it.
2) If you go back to the apps screen will the app restart for you?
3) Did you know about the “back” button? At the bottom of the screen in a thin black bar is a little curved arrow in a circle. That’s the back button. You should be able to tap the back button to get back to the app if something has gone wrong with the email app.
Let me know what happens so we can figure out the next step if needed.
Take care,
Steve @ WhitneyApps
I purchased Hubble outerspace/Bible wallpaper–from B.N. for my Tablet–It said not supported by my Nook–It then disappeared from my Nook altogether
I cannot open to the program–I did find the program again it just shows the information but not the start up page. I have the Nook tablet 1.4.1
Hi, Robert!
Sorry you’re having trouble. The app is definitely compatible with the NOOK Tablet, but something seems to have gone wrong. I recommend finding it in the “apps” list, doing a “long press” on the app icon (press your finger on it and hold until a menu of options comes up) then tap “archive.” That will uninstall the app from your NOOK Tablet. Then you can go to the archived apps page and tap it to install it again. I expect that will get it working for you, but please let me know either way. You can email me at support@LookingUpwardApps.com if you have trouble and we’ll get this working for you.
Blessings,

How do I get the setting back to the custom one for posting to facebook from the original? I hit original by mistake and I can’t get it back to how it was.
Randy-
I don’t have the app in front of me right now since I’m typing from my phone, but the way to turn the custom Facebook sharing screen back on is to press/tap the menu button (how you do this depends on the device). Then tap “settings” then uncheck “Use standard Facebook sharing” (this wording may not be right, but it’s similar). Hopefully things will be back to the way they were after that checkbox is unchecked.
Let me know if it doesn’t work for you.

I’m having the exact same problem as Debbie however, there’s no “back” button at the bottom of the screen. I have tried deleting and archiving the app. Each time I re-install Faith’s Checkbook and open it, it goes straight back to my e-mail. Is there a way to completely wipe the settings for Faith’s Checkbook without deleting everything off my Nook Tablet? Or, at the very least, is there an update I can download for the app that includes the “back” button when you attempt to share something?
Hi, Shannon,
I’m sorry this is happening to you. There’s a known bug in the Nook software that traps you in the emil app if you try to share by email before you have set up the built-in email app. I recommend shutting the Nook down entirely by holding the power button until it asks you if you want to shut it down (I don’t have my Nook in front of me to get the exact wording). Once iit has done the full shutdown, you can restart it by holding the power button. It should now have forgottne that it was stuck in the email app. I recommend setting up the email app by running it directly from the apps screen. (It will want information to hook it into your email account). Then sharing from Faith’s Checkbook should be safe again.
Sorry for the inconvenience. They kept saying it would be fixed, but it hasn’t been yet.
No reset of the Nook should be necessary to unstick it if this is the problem. If this doesn’t work, please let me know so I can see what can be done through the app in a new version.
Take care,
